General

• How do I reset the password of the ERM service account?

Installation

• The ERM installation fails to complete. The installation wizard displays the following reason: "The wizard was interrupted before Exchange Resource Manager could be completely installed."

Permissions

• What are the recommended set of permissions for the ERM service account and the logged-on (ERM Administrator account)?
• On attempting to manage a resource, ERM throws up an error indicating "Unable to make resource managed because ERM cannot modify the event sink to this mailbox" and fails

Licensing

• I just purchased ERM. I am having trouble performing an online registration of the ERM license file.
• ERM is unable to manage additional resources due to the following error: The maximum number of resources is already managed.

Scheduling

• ERM-managed resources simply stopped processing meeting requests.
• Resources stopped responding to meeting requests every two days. ERM has to be un-installed and re-installed to fix the problem.
• None of the resources residing on a particular mailbox store respond to meeting requests.
• ERM retains cancelled meetings on the resource calendar with the word “Cancelled:” pre-pended to the subject of the meeting and no response is sent to the meeting organizer.

• How is Free/Busy published when ERM is used for managing resources?
• After resources are managed by ERM, only 3 months of Free/Busy information is available.
• Free/busy information is not updated immediately after a meeting is accepted/updated/cancelled by Exchange Resource Manager.

• What’s the procedure for moving ERM to another server?
• Do I need to do follow a special procedure when moving mailboxes between servers?

Where is the answer to On attempting to manage a resource, ERM pops up the following error: Unable to make ERM managed because system error 0x80040e19 occurred..  I am getting this error when attempting to manage a newly created resource.  I created three Exchange user objects.  One became managed by ERM and the other two are giving me this error:

 

 

The link appears to be good.  If you search for 0x80040e19, it will bring up two links which state this is usually a failure of the RUS not being ran on new resources.  You must logon to each resource in OWA to force RUS to run on the resources.
