  • Reminders for truncated meeting...

     02-14-2008, 11:23 AM

Is there a way to configure ERM to send out reminders notifying meeting organizers when truncated meetings approach the expire/truncate date?

Our users have been very frustrated because they setup meetings longer than the time allowed and then forget that the meetings were truncated. I understand that this mostly a need for behaviour change, but if there was a way to so within the application it would be helpful.

Additionally, when attempting to refresh the meeting by rescheduling, the application appears to process from the original meeting schedule date instead of the current date resulting in unexpected failures. Is there a way to modify this?

    Thanks.

There is not a macro or other function to send reminders for truncated meetings.  Perhaps a better option would be when notified of truncation, they schedule the balance of the meetings in a new meeting or create a task to remind them to create the meeting at a future date.

There is no way to modify the original meeting to have a different start date, so recurring meeting limits stay in force.
