  • How to setup the user account to run the bmeetingv4 scripts?

     03-01-2007, 12:16 PM

The instructions to create a user with full access to the exchange server apparently seem to be to vague at least to me.  I've created an account in the Exchange account managers group as well as giving them local administrative rights on the server and yet when i run the tool against a managed resource I get mapi logon failures like this.

    U:\>bmeetingv4_1.vbs MYDOMAIN\dstmove apollo

U:\bmeetingv4_1.vbs(17, 1) Collaboration Data Objects: The information store could not be opened. [MAPI 1.0 - [MAPI_E_LOGON_FAILED(80040111)]]

     Thanks,

    -Geoff

The account used to run the tool should be setup to have full control over the Exchange server. In order to grant full control permissions, from the Exchange System Manager, right click on the Exchange server, select Properties add the account to the security tab and ensure that the "Full Control" is checked. Also ensure that "Send As" and "Receive Rights" are not denied. These rights may be denied implicitly if the account is a member of any of the Exchange admin groups.
