    Hi,

Does anyone have any idea what this is about? Does not seem to be any degregation on our system, but is filling up our event log.

I have been getting two messages in the event log continuously. Neither Microsoft or ERM seem to have any details on what this is about.

    Enviroment:

MS Windows Server 2003 SP1, MS Exchange Server 2003 Emprise ed. SP2, ERM Build 1.3.1016.1 with 139 managed resources.

    Messages:

    And

    Jordan,

The error messages listed are known benign errors that are scheduled to be resolved in a future release of ERM.

When a meeting request is processed, the program code for ERM attempts to obtain the Directory Server by attempting to programmatically access a property on the exchange server. Under certain circumstances, this can fail. When this fails, the event is logged to the application event log.

However, the error does not indicate failure or a problem with ERM as the program code subsequently executes an AD query to retrieve this information and processes the meeting request correctly.

As a work-around, you are able to redirect all ERM process logging to files. From the ERM Mailbox Browser, click Edit -> Global Configuration Properties -> Logging tab -> under Primary Log, set “Log to” to “File”. To redirect management logging to files, from the ERM Mailbox Browser, click Edit -> Product Configuration -> Logging tab
-> under Administration Logging Options, set "Log to" to "File". This will ensure that the application event log will not be populated with the error logs.
