    Hello dear sir ,

i have ERM (version 1.3.1016.1) purchased for 5 resources , worked just fine so far. (got it installed 10 mounths ago or so).

it stopped working when i applied the latest DST patches so i upgraded it to version 1.35 and it works now , however i got some issues :

in all the managed resources except for one resource, ERM accepting meeting for the wrong times.(one hour earlier,or its not accepting meetings if there is a meeting one hour earlier)

when i do help---->about in the ERM mailbox browser i still see version 1.3.101.6.1 installed .

i did everything i have found on the instruction on your site and microsoft's site , need some help here.

    Thanks ,

Verify that you have the following patches instaled.  KB926666 is critical to DST 2007 as it contains an updated CDO.Dll required for Time Zone Information.  The article does specify 2003, but near the bottom, also has links for 2000 and 5.5 Exchange.  Some administrators have commented that they actually had to reboot their Exchange servers for the patches to be effective.  If you have applied all the patches as listed, verify the correct version of CDO.Dll per the article.

    1. Apply Server patch KB933360 replaces KB931836
    2. Apply Workstation patch KB933360 replaces KB931836
    3. Apply Exchange CDO patch KB926666
    4. You may need to also apply KB932599
    5. Ensure that all affected meetings on the ERM-managed resource calendars in the extended DST period have their "Show time as" set to "Free". To help automate this, you can download a free script1
    6. Run the rebasing tool (MSEXTMZ.Exe) against the Exchange server, rather than the Outlook Time Zone Tool (TZMove.Exe), for all events (recurring/single)

ERM is NOT affected by the DST change. The Exchange server provides time and time zone information to ERM. As a result, ERM does not require any patches or updates related to the DST change. If all the appropriate patches and tools from Microsoft are correctly applied to your organization’s servers and workstations, ERM should continue to process the resource meeting requests properly.  Microsoft's current recommendation is as follows:

    http://support.microsoft.com/gp/cp_dst

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/933360

Apply Server patch KB933360 (replaces 931836)

Apply Workstation patch KB933360 (replaces 931836)

    Apply Exchange CDO patch KB926666

You may need to also apply KB932599

Ensure that all affected meetings on the ERM-managed resource calendars in the extended DST period have their "Show time as" set to "Free". To help automate this, you can download a free script1

Run the rebasing tool (MSEXTMZ.Exe) (KB941018) against the Exchange server, rather than the Outlook Time Zone Tool (TZMove.Exe), for all events (recurring/single).  You may also have users run the Outlook tool (KB931667)

After rebasing is complete, ERM should process the calendar inboxes and change the value of rebased events to "busy".

Note:  DST support is beyond the scope of standard ERM support since issues created by the change in DST procedure and calendar rebasing tools are issues related to the Microsoft workstation/server operating systems and Exchange server environments and not to the function of Simpler-Webb's Exchange Resource Manager.

i did all of this previously , nothing helps , and i do think its an ERM problem since one of the resources is working fine and the others dont +

when you cancel ERM and  using the normal outlook accepting method it is working fine.

    please suggest a solution ,

       Thanks

ERM uses the CDO.Dll provided by Exchange for processing calendar events.  If the CDO.Dll file is not at the required version as stipulated in KB926666, you will have time descrepancies.  CDO.Dll is a legacy mail handler that incorporates it's own time table information rather than using the time table information built into either the workstation or the server O/s.  Outlook via Exchange does not use CDO.Dll, but rather refers to the local time tables of the server and workstation.  Outlook Web Access does, however, use CDO.Dll, as does the Microsoft AutoAccept Agent.

We have no reports from other users that have applied the new O/S timetable patches KB933360 that ERM is not functioning correctly.  If you reside in one of the areas listed in KB933360 as having a DST time change since the original KB931836 was published, you will need to follow the instructions as recommended by Microsoft published previously and rebase your calendars.  Simpler-Webb can provide DST consulting to you for a fee since this issue is beyond the scope of ERM function.
